Week 23 : Plan

Week 23

Monday : Soccer 

Tuesday : 3mile run 

Wednesday : 5mile run / Golf (9 holes planned for after work) 

Thursday : Rest day / 3 hours of dance class

Friday : 4mile run (am) / Dancing Gig (pm)

Saturday : 3mile Run (have to travel to Dublin so will be dependent on times)

Sunday : 5mile Run

I have been called to do a TV show with my old dance show in 2 weeks, so I need to lose a little before then! Try get the fitness up. 

I have also been asked to do a week of shows with them close to my home town so I am in serious need to up fitness levels for that!


Week 22 Recep

Monday : Soccer - Went well, and no pain today

Tuesday : 3mile run - Nice and easy pace, was happy with it.

Wednesday : 5mile run - Didn’t happen

Thursday : Rest day / 3 hours of dance class - As usual, class was good

Friday : Golf (5mile walk) - Great Golf played and walked a lot more than 5 miles on the course

Saturday : 5mile Run - Didn’t happen, was sore after the hilly golf course Friday and had sinus issues.

Sunday : Rest day / walk / Hurling Match - Played golf again. So a nice 5mile walk

Took off after work with one of my running buddies (I am liking having somebody to go running with). We did 3miles at a nice handy 8:40min/mile pace. Worked up a nice sweat and felt good after.

Legs felt good and were just beginning to burn towards the end.

May not get the run in this eve as I am going pitch and putt but at least I will be out walking for 2 hours! (all be it possibly after pizza).

Fully Fit?

I am hopeful that I am almost fully fit again. I returned to soccer last night and have no ill effects today. My calf is still tender to touch but no pain when exercising.

I feel better the more I get out and about. From next week on, I will be taking part in a soccer league, which means soccer twice a week on top of running and hurling and dancing (Which will be finishing in 3 weeks for the summer).

Finally

As mentioned two posts ago, my ankle was swollen for no reason. It finally popped! One of the bones was slightly trapped behind another and it was so sore. I went dancing teaching last night and each move was so sore!

Woke up this morning and stepped out of the bed..OUCH! Sitting at my desk now and i went to stand up and it popped back into place! Woop, just in time for hurling match tomorrow. Going to skip running this eve to let my calf heal fully as its still a little sore.

Looking forward to getting back running. Injury always gets me when I try to get consistant but I am going to plough through the pain from now on. Damn you 23 years of dancing!! Killed my legs and I know I am in for years of torture!

Pain Pain go away!

Woke up this morning and could barely put my leg on the ground the calf had stiffened and gotten so sore over night. As the day progressed it loosened out (Thanks to having office stairs and no lift). It is still very tender to touch but I am hoping to be able to do a short run tomorrow and then be back pain free for dance class on Thursday!

Foot is still sore also, but I am not worried about that at moment as I think its just an old dancing injury reminding me that it will always be back.

Anybody with any quick fix tips for dead leg?

So sore

Tough few days.. Got some running in last week,didn’t get run in Friday as I was golfing and had a dancing gig Saturday and my legs were sore.

Saturday was dancing gig,Sunday was chill out BBQ day and today was Hurling training followed by soccer.

My ankle is swollen for no reason I can think of, my knees are just sore from all the dancing over the years and I picked up a dead calf in hurling and it’s so sore now!!

Tomorrow is gonna be a TLC day for my legs. Lots of stretch and some massage I think!!!
